We are currently experiencing performance issues with logins to FSCJ Applications and Services. OneLogin is currently working to restore normal performance levels. This includes myFSCJ and Canvas for students.
College Placement
At FSCJ, there are different ways to determine your placement:
College Placement Exams*
SAT: If you took the SAT in the last two years, log in to Collegeboard.org to send your official score report to FSCJ, or you can visit a campus Assessment Center to have your scores loaded. You'll need to know your login to Collegeboard.org, and you won't have to pay to have your scores sent!
ACT: If you took the ACT in the last two years, log in to ACT.org to send your official score report to FSCJ, or you can visit a campus Assessment Center to have your scores loaded. You'll need to know your login to ACT.org, and you won't have to pay to have your scores sent!
ACCUPLACER Next Generation: This test helps determine your readiness for college-level courses. It covers Reading, Writing, Quantitative Reasoning-Algebra and Statistics (QAS), and Next Generation Advanced Algebra and Functions (AAF).
P.E.R.T. (Postsecondary Education Readiness Test): This test assesses your skills in English, Math and Reading. It's not about passing or failing but helps place you in the right starting classes for success at FSCJ.
*You can schedule an appointment to take the Accuplacer Next Generation or P.E.R.T. by visiting fscj.edu/assessment. FSCJ Assessment and Certification Center staff can help you determine which placement exam best meets your needs.
Prior College Credit
If you've taken college English and Math at another college/university, send your official transcripts to FSCJ for evaluation. You can have them sent electronically from a transcript provider using studentrecords@fscj.edu. FSCJ’s mailing address is P.O. Box 40515, Jacksonville, FL 32203.
International transcripts require a NACES evaluation. Please visit NACES.org to locate a member.
SB1720 Exemption
Effective November 2013 under SB 1720, if you entered the ninth grade in a Florida public school in 2003 or after, graduated from a Florida public high school with a standard Florida high school diploma, OR if you are a student who is serving as an active duty member of any branch of the U.S. Armed Services, you will not be required to take placement testing.
